Workshops on Surety Bonds for Construction Projects and Public Services
This is my site September 24, 2009 – 12:51 pm

Workshops on Surety Bonds are coming to Atlantic Canada! The Canadian Public Procurement Council (CPPC) and the Surety Association of Canada are pleased to bring you a workshop on Surety Bonds and what they can do for you.

What’s it about?
The presentation by a representative of the Surety Association will provide an overview on what is a surety bond and how they can work for you as a public buyer. This is a great opportunity to gain a better understanding of the surety product, how it works, what’s behind the process and get good insight into the industry itself. The agenda includes the following topics:

  • Types and uses of surety bonds
  • Prequalification for surety bonds by the supplier company
  • Competitive comparison of the surety bond to other types of security
  • Defaults and claims with a surety bond in place
  • When and where?
We are pleased to bring this workshop to you in two locations:

    Halifax (English speaker)
    Mount Saint Vincent University
    Wednesday, October 21
    8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

    Moncton (Bilingual speaker and materials)
    University of Moncton
    Thursday, October 22
    12:30-4:30 p.m.

    What does it cost?
The workshop fee is $75 per person for members of the CPPC and $150 for non-members. The fee covers the cost of the workshop materials and your breakfast and lunch, depending on the schedule of the workshop.
