As a key member of our Supply Chain Management department, you will drive the entire business process supporting the procurement of goods and services for all BC Housing branches and regional offices, province-wide. You’ll be front-and-centre of the tendering process; the strategic and timely procurement and acquisition of construction, renovations, equipment, services and supplies; supporting supplier relationships; and providing expertise and guidance to BC Housing staff engaged in supply chain activities. Developing, maintaining and monitoring purchasing system databases as well as the departmental website and intranet will also be part of the mix.

Along with a relevant university degree, you have earned or are in the process of obtaining one of the following:

• An accreditation in the Purchasing Management Association of Canada’s or Strategic Supply Chain Management Leadership Program
• Certified Professional in Supply Management standing from the Institute of Supply Management

Along with a minimum of four years’ progressively responsible purchasing or equivalent technical experience (or the equivalent in education and experience), you have a good knowledge of construction and construction-related purchasing; advanced computer capabilities; negotiation skills; and a customer-centric focus.
